Madison Street Tattoo

I’ve been going to MST for about a year now, and I only have good things to say! I’ve recommended this place to several friends, colleagues and random strangers who have complimented the work I’ve had done there. Faka, Danny, Carly, Adam, Liz & Hannah work so well together, it feels like they are truly a work family :)! They have always made me feel extremely welcomed and very, very safe. As a queer person, I have always felt safe and accepted there. Danny works very hard to make sure the shop is a comfortable environment. Faka is the artist I normally see, his American Traditional work is simply beautiful. I’ve recommended several people to Carly based on the style of tattoo they want and everyone has been extremely pleased with the results! This is the only shop that I trust in the DMV, and I am so happy to say that I love MST!! I couldn’t recommend this place more!!

I love the atmosphere of this shop. I was recommended to check them out from my main tattoo artists. Came in for a walk-in and front desk person was incredibly welcoming and nice, sorry I didn't get her name! Carly knocked out exactly what I wanted and free handed the cloud for me! If you're in the Alexandria area, give them a visit, you won't be disappointed!

I got my first tattoo yesterday after two years of planning. I went to Madison Street Tattoo because of the Google reviews and Danny's Instagram account showing his previous work. I had been advised by all my inked friends to make sure I trust my artist before committing to anything and from the start, Danny set off so many green flags I thought I was being pranked. However, Danny's passion, drive, and very friendly (if not loud) demeanor continued through the entire process from consultation to aftercare. I cannot stress how thorough Danny was in making sure I was educated, happy, and consenting through the entire process. The best thing about working with Danny seems mundane, but in the consultation, I told him about the emotional impact of my tattoo, and when I showed up to get the ink, he showed me his drawing and I caught a glimpse of the 15+ tabs open with different reference images, in depth research on the subject, and original drawings of the style similar to what I was aiming for. Danny is humble, incredibly talented, professional, and an absolute pleasure to be around. There is no one I would trust more to tattoo me in the future and I look forward to going back for more when I settle on my next design!
