Lucky Gal Tattoo & Piercing

I've gotten 2 tattoos with Meressa in Ankeny, and I absolutely love them both. She did a phenomenal job designing them and is so sweet. The first was a very large detailed piece on my thigh and the second a wrap on my lower leg. She made sure I loved the designs and was comfortable during every part of the process. I'll definitely be coming back! Even if I couldn't work with Meressa for whatever reason, everyone else there seemed really cool and kind as well. You can't go wrong coming here!

I went to the Ankeny location during their Friday the 13th/Valentine’s Day flash promo (2/13/26) and even though everything was chaotic, EVERYONE working at this location was awesome! The front desk crew handled everything with such care and professionalism, I have to give them ALL the praise and hydration! I was tattooed by Meressa and she was so great! She’s talented, über creative, quick, and very kind (I was a bit overwhelmed with all the chaos and didn’t talk much). I’m super impressed with her work! Highly recommend checking out her online presence and working with her on your next tattoo! I also was pierced by Macee. She was clean, gentle, and very kind with all my questions. I highly recommend getting pierced by Macee! Great job by the whole LuckyGal Ankeny crew!!

Macee is always the sweetest! Her and the staff are always so kind and welcoming whenever I come see them. For the Friday the 13th sale today, the staff stayed a long while after hours to make sure mostly everyone got a chance to get a piercing. My friends and I were one of the last people in line, and they were still super patient and excited to do our services, even after a long and busy day. Their dedication and commitment to their customers gives me a reason to keep coming back. (Also they have super cute jewelry! As someone who only wears gold, this is my go-to for shops in Ankeny.)
