The Paper Lantern

Sammy is an amazing artist, a great craftsman, and a wonderful human being. He carefully listened to what I envisioned for my new tattoo and created a beautiful design that completely met the brief. His easy and engaging conversation made the long session go by so much faster, so in addition to being stoked about the beautiful new piece of art on my arm I’m also very happy to have met such a kind and interesting person. Sammy’s studio space is great as well: completely private, spotless, bright, and a great downtown spot for people watching from the large second floor windows. I’m not sure yet what my next tattoo will be, but I know for certain that I’ll go to Sammy’s Paper Lantern for it!

Sammy is a pleasure to work with and makes everything really easy. Great communicator and wants what’s best for you. This was my first tattoo and I was on the fence about the initial placement but he immediately recognized my doubt and placed it somewhere I was truly happy with. His art and conversation are another part of the experience that makes it worth coming here

Sammy is the real deal. He’s honest, talented, and genuinely cares about getting it right. What I love most is how intentional he is! He really takes the time to help you figure out what fits you, not just what looks cool in the moment. He’s patient, creative, and his work is absolutely flawless. I’ve left every session feeling confident and grateful to have found an artist who puts so much thought into every detail. Highly recommend!
