I’ve gotten all my tattoos here, I plan to get more. Joseph does an amazing job and is capable of doing a wide variety of tattoos, he’s professional and polite and is upfront about everything(so long as you read what you’re supposed to read). If you’re looking for someone who’s more than just a tattoo artist Joseph is your man
I had my nipples pierced here with Jay. Unfortunately he didnt use iodine or any hygienic steps, and the left nipple piercing came out crooked, but was okay otherwise. The right nipple piercing was so deep and crooked, but I figured it wasn't alarming because Jay didn't seem to care. He didn't give many instructions; my girlfriend had to ask, and he didn't give much advice, so we figured we'd later google care instructions. We paid cash, but then Jay said he didn't have change to give us, and didn't give us a receipt. That evening, I knew something wasn't right with my right nipple piercing. The pain wasn't in my nipple near the piercing; it was expanding across the right side of my chest, and radiating. I sent photos to my piercer friend in another state, who advised me he thought it was way too deep of a piercing, and he expressed immediate concern. He also couldn't believe Jay used a horseshoe instead of a barbell .... And even worse, that it was a black plated surgical steel piece, which would result in it breaking down and chipping, resulting in high risk of infection. I also posted a picture of the piercing on Reddit, and people went crazy, saying it was the worst piercing they've ever seen, saying to never go back, saying to call the health department on this guy due to his negligence (and because he let me walk out of his shop like this, knowing it would result in some major issues later on). First thing today, I went to piercing place in Denver thats actually an APP member and that shop confirmed it was way too deep... plus both were crooked. They fixed my right piercing for me since I was in pain and it was so deep it would never be able to heal. They wanted to fix my left one, which was crooked, but I had already been through too much. I let them switch out the plated horseshoe ring for a titanium barbell. I called Jay to ask for a refund on the single piercing I needed to get repierced, and he said absolutely not, that he doesn't do refunds. He was really argumentative and didn't come across as professional at all. So, not only did I have to pay him to mess up both piercings, but then I had to pay another shop to fix this guy's work. Don't risk your health by going to this place. I'd post a photo but Google doesn't allow it.
If you’re looking for a professional, well-priced, local shop with genuinely good tattoo skills, then look no further and go make an appointment with J right now. I’m writing this fresh after getting my second round of tattoos from him, and couldn’t be more pleased. I found Villainous Ink on Instagram while searching for Friday the 13th tattoo deals. I walked in that Friday night, and the flash tattoos I got were done quickly and exceptionally well. I was really happy with how they turned out and they were the easiest healing tattoos I’d ever had. When I saw that J’s shop was running another ink deal I decided to go in with a couple bigger custom band pieces that meant a lot to me. And he didn’t disappoint. He took the time to listen to what I wanted and made any revisions until it was perfect. They came out better than I ever imagined possible. He is a true artist who runs an honest shop with a cool vibe. It’s visually beautiful, and as a solo woman, I felt that I had just the right amount of privacy to feel comfortable throughout both of my experiences. I look forward to getting a lot more work (and some piercings) done here in the future. Thanks again, J!
