Southern Star Tattoo

I had some new tattoos done today by Matty at The Little Five Points location. I cannot state enough positive things about him. Very patient and consistent in communicating with me about tattoo I wanted done, and making recommendations that actually came out better than what I planned. He was great checking on me frequently while doing the tattoos to ensure I was ok. The quality of the tattoos are above and beyond my expectations. Thank you once again Matty. Fabi is awesome! He’s done two finger tattoos on me that turned out way better than I expected. I was a walk in for the first one and called pretty last minute for the second one but he got me in and out super fast. The lettering is perfect and I barely felt anything. Also, the front desk folks have been super helpful! Very cool and friendly shop.

Walked into the space where three people were at work. I had company and we stood there a good five minutes waiting to be acknowledged before i realized they were purposely ignoring us. I was very carefully trying to lock eyes with someone so i could say hello and ask a question but every person whose face i looked at trained their eyes close to my body and visibly away from me or straight up turned back around to avoid my gaze. Im not sure if any one of them were owners but it was a white dude with black hair, a pale woman with dreadlocks, and another white dude working on a tattoo. The last man was in deep focus so at first i didnt think it was something weird but the other two were working and moving around WHILE facing the door and avoiding my attention. Its well decorated so id like to visit while a tattoo artist or piercing tech that i can actually respect was in the studio !
