Great shop with great selection of current comics and back issues. They also had an extensive graphic novel and trade paperback selection that encompassed the big publishers and a lot of indies. The staff were really chatty and knowledgeable, with even other customers joining in with discussion and recommendation. We were drop-in visitors on vacation, but this is very clearly a local favourite and would absolutely be my regular spot if we lived in Birmingham.

My wife and I have been using Aaron for our tattoos for almost a decade. He is not only insanely talented at what he does, but also a wonderful human being. Each visit is like seeing an old friend. On the comics side, they have an amazing selection and Wes is very helpful/friendly. We no longer live in Bham and they have even been willing to ship certain issues I want to our home. A truly special place and gem of the South!

Sanctum Comics and Tattoo in Birmingham is in its third (and hopefully final) location, and it's a great one. The owner was super friendly and greeted me right when I walked in. The back issues are neatly organized in large filing cabinets by alphabetical order, which made browsing easy. I found some nice picks, including Spawn and Something is Killing the Children. Parking was convenient with a paid lot just across the street. Definitely looking forward to stopping by again next time I'm in town.
