Inkvision Tattoo

I got one tattoo here before this, and it was a great experience (I brought in my own design that was tweaked a bit). But something changed this time around, I communicated with my artist Kam Kelley what I wanted very specifically and was not listened to and given no prior look at his design before my appointment. At the appointment, he showed me the design and it was completely different than anything I'd specified. Ended up having to reschedule (which was fine if I was able to get what I asked for) and a month later I got what is pictured. He'd said after the first design that what I wanted wasn't possible for the area, so I made a reference and a few other suggestions because I really wanted this tattoo with this particular sun (sentimental meaning). Even specifying that I would please like this particular sun's face and to see the design before the appointment if possible (that didn't happen). Fast forward to the appointment, he shows me the design and it looks great.. except he did the same sun as the first time, so I ask if he can do the sun I wanted, he outlines the suns face real quick and we get to it. I see the stencil and assume that it looks so messy because he's going to fix it during, trusting his ability as an artist. Then when he's done I look in the mirror and see the sun's face... and it's like this. We were set up for a second session to color the sun, but at this point I didn't trust his judgement anymore. His inability to just communicate and listen to me is what made this such a bad experience, as well as the very badly done permanent (and expensive) mistake on my arm. I have to go to a different artist to fix the sun's face as much as is possible and color it in. The other artist here seems like a great artist for the record, but I don't reccomend going to Kam Kelley.

Kam did an amazing job on my tattoo. A great first tattoo experience for sure! He took the time to explain the process behind what he was doing and checked in throughout the entire experience to make sure we were on the same page in what we wanted tattoo wise. I hope to go back to Kam for all of my future tattoos.

Started my back piece with Eric P. and I can't say enough about how awesome it is turning out. Eric took my mix of ideas and created an image that is exactly what I was hoping for in this piece. Eric and his artists are all top notch without the attitude you sometimes run into at a tattoo shop. If you want great ink come to Inkvision and you won't be disappointed.
