Black Harbor Tattoo

I walked into Black Harbor Tattoo in October of 2022. I was interested in a cover up of some tattoos I had previously that weren't very good. Shane stepped up and started speaking with me about design and color and what could be done. That one conversation blossomed into years of coming back to this shop and a long term friendship with him. You can see from the pictures posted that Shane is on another level. His ability to see the vision of what it could be is unparalleled. I don't even question his insight any more. He's proven to deliver on every metric, from the art, to the attention to care during the tattoo to the laughs we have during breaks. I can't stress how good Shane is at being a Tattoo Artist and a dear friend. It's not just him, the entire shop is full of amazing people. Eric, the owner, is a fantastic artist with as much passion as Shane. They are competitive and it shows in the quality of the work. Tonya is always friendly and speaks Spanish for anyone who needs to translate their artistic vision. I was recently getting work done on my leg, a full sleeve, and I was going through some pain, like a lot of it! I wasn't quiet about it either. An artist there, Shawn, came over and started talking to me for over 20 minutes to distract me from the pain. He didn't have to do that, he wasn't making money from me. In fact, he had his backpack on, ready to leave, but stayed and helped me through that. That's the kind of people that work here. Simply amazing. I can't stress enough how every dollar you spend here is not just for the art you are getting, but you are also investing in friends. It's impossible not to make them here. I encourage anyone who wants a tattoo to give them a chance to astound you.

I can confidently say that this place is one of the best tattoo shops I've ever been to! I had the pleasure of getting tattooed by Eric, who fit me in for a half sleeve. The whole energy of the shop was incredible—everyone was so funny and kind, creating a welcoming atmosphere. I travel around the country and get tattoos in each state, and I can honestly say that this shop has some of the best artists I've found in the country. I will definitely be 100% back to see Eric for my future tattoos. Highly recommend!

My uncle and I took my little brother to get his first tattoo here. His artist, Sean, did an amazing job! He was very informative, creative, and helpful. The tattoo looks awesome and was done very efficiently. He did a great job checking in on my brother and making sure that he was doing alright , while also letting my brother know what he was planning on doing next. He had a lot of really cool ideas and was just a cool guy all around. We will definitely be back to see him again! The shop was also very clean and beautifully decorated, and it was a very welcoming environment.
