Second experience here and I will definitely return to Megan. My previous experience with Edee was not good so I am so glad to have found Megan. She was very caring and made me feel very comfortable. She understood my allergy concerns and had no issues using my bar soaps. She also gave me a information booklet and products to test before scheduling a Japanese head massage to be sure it don't have any reactions. I had no idea what to do with my hair as it's thinning and I am growing back a side shave. I left with a nice a line bob style cut and she kept the length in the front like I like. I was exhausted that day and I felt so comfortable when she told me that its totally okay and that I don't need to be on for her, which was so nice to hear and helped me really relax. Will definitely be seeing her soon.

1/17 My first experience here was bringing my daughter in for a haircut. She needed her wolf cut refreshed. Eedee was her stylist, i had not seen her listed and she claimed to not be on their website, i did not see her services and pricing. We arrived about 15 minutes late, and I had called ahead to confirm it was okay. I felt bad and didn’t want to waste any more of Eedee’s time. From the start, though, the vibe felt off. My teen daughter has severe anxiety and struggles to communicate on the spot, so I usually help explain what she wants while encouraging her to speak when she can. I was explaining that she previously had a side shave and we were hiding the grow-out when Eedee interrupted to ask if I had a picture. I said no, but tried to explain that she has a modified wolf cut—longer, less choppy. This was how her original stylist at The Last Snip described it, and it came out exactly how we wanted. As I tried to explain further, Eedee seemed frustrated, like I was being difficult, asking for too much. She handed my daughter her phone with Pinterest, which made my daughter visibly uncomfortable. I again explained that the layers were already there and just needed to be brought back to life using the existing cut. She still seemed unhappy with the direction. I showed the original inspiration photo, but unfortunately didn’t have photos of my daughter’s hair unstyled. We were moved around to different seats, then she began shampooing my daughter without asking or explaining her services. She new it was first time here and i expressed that. My daughter and i have allergies and sensitive skin, and I would not have allowed this if I had known it was part of the service. My husband stopped her to ask what was happening, explained our concern, she said its all included and continued, apparently not caring about our allergies, which was the biggest concern...and then tells him what the cost would be. When she told us the price, I was shocked—it was nearly double what other stylists at the same salon charge, and or what I've ever paid at a salon. I did see it as apart of the salon's services but I assumed i could decline. Her hair was washed that morning and I've never ever had an issue at a salon before with dry hair has long as its clean and they wet the hair before cutting. I was too upset to continue interacting and had my husband handle the rest. If he hadn’t been there, I would have left before the shampoo even touched her hair. She did not show us the cut before blow-drying and styling it as basic layers—not styled like a wolf cut at all. Once it fell out naturally a few hours later, it was clear: this is just a layered cut. Everyone in my household agrees, including my daughter. She also had been complaining about the smell, how the products made her hair feel and it was sort of itchy. My daughter later told me the stylist said she doesn’t know what a wolf cut is and thinks they are mullets. I’ve never had a stylist not want input or check in before styling. It was upsetting that she didn’t ask if we were happy with the cut beforehand. If shampooing and styling are required—and if I cannot bring my own allergy-safe products—this needs to be clearly discussed with clients during booking ot before touching hair. I will not risk allergic reactions. Unfortunately my daughter didn't have a choice. I also didn’t like that multiple employees were standing nearby talking shop in front of us. It’s unprofessional. I will not return to Eedee, she wasn't even the stylist i had wanted just first available and daughter was overdue for a trim. I am definitely consider other stylists and services. Paradise looks like a great salon, and I hope to have a better experience there in the future.
