I walked in yesterday afternoon with no appointment. Eric greeted me with a smile and an interest in what I wanted done. We talked a little about placement, size, and detail. I patiently wait a few minutes for Eric to work on the stencil and by the time I knew it, he was asking for me to come back and have a seat. Eric was an absolute gem. He was friendly and had just the right amount of conversation. I’m usually shy when it comes to getting tattooed even though I have a lot, but I felt extremely comfortable has Eric did his magic. The tattoo came out even better than I expected, especially because Eric put his own feel on it. The shop was clean and the other artist in the shop was just as nice and friendly even for just having brief conversation with him. I am so glad I chose to walk in here yesterday and will continue to give Eric and Pale Horse Tattoo my business from now on. I appreciate the time I had and will suggest everyone to see Eric, the other artist and just to walk into Pale Horse to have the experience I did.

I had a recent death in the family and at the ripe age of 51 wanted my first tatoo to commemorate my family lineage. I researched and visited a few tatoo shops and wasn't convinced until I stepped into Pale Horse tatoo. Once there, Ryan Strayer asked if he could help and I gave him ideas for my FAMILY crest. He took notes. I asked to see his portfolio of work, and he handed me the book and advised to look through all the artist books, and said it wouldn't hurt his feelings if I liked someone else's work better. I thought to myself... What a selfless notion that was. After looking through ALL the portfolios, I decided to stick with Ryan. I'm glad that I did because this family crest was super precise. The bandage filled with fluid an hour after so I went back and he reinforced it. The next day, I returned and he redressed it and refused payment. Anyway, I love my tatoo. The service and cleanliness of the shop was on point. Thank you Pale Horse and thank you Ryan Strayer. Albert Ramirez

One the absolute best traditional tattoo shops in the greater SE Texas area. I travel 68 miles for artists here. Expect to pay. Good work aint cheap and cheap work aint good and this stuff is excellent. Atmosphere is amazing and artists are super friendly and attentive. Very approachable. Just be sure you understand that this place does traditional - bold and rich. Great place to drop in and snag something off the wall or meet up with an artist and plan something huge! Dont sleep on this place.
