Good to know before you book
- Fine-line and micro work here demands a clear reference — bring high-res images and expect a short consult before the needle.
- Traditional pieces tend to be quoted by piece, not hourly. Ask for flash sheets if you want a same-week appointment.
- Realism and portrait work depends heavily on reference quality — clean, well-lit source photos make the biggest difference.
- Colour-heavy pieces benefit from a structured touch-up visit 4–6 weeks after healing.
- Walk-in availability isn't always posted online — a quick phone call is the fastest way to know if they can fit you in today.

I’ve lived in the Bishop Arts area for over 10 years and wanted to share my experience. Barbie the piercer is excellent — professional, welcoming, and great at what she does. Unfortunately, my experience trying to get tattoo services has been the opposite. I’ve inquired about getting a tattoo four different times and each time I was passed from artist to artist or given a reason why it couldn’t be done. Most recently, I stopped by for a small memorial tattoo for my grandmother who recently passed — something that would have taken only a few minutes — and was turned away again. While I understand business hours, this has been a repeated pattern, not a one-time situation. As a person of color, the repeated deflections and lack of visible diversity among clients being served have honestly made me feel unwelcome. Whether intentional or not, that’s how the experience comes across. It’s disappointing because I’ve supported this area for years, but I won’t be returning for tattoo work. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and helps improve how walk-ins and inquiries are handled in the future. IF ITS BECAUSE OF HOW I LOOK JUST SAY THAT.
I came in at a busy time apparently, guy says he’s going to create a waitlist because everyone is in for piercing stuff. That’s all fine, tattoo artist was nice and I can understand he doesn’t have any piercing information. However after 45mins and like 3 piercings later I’m still waiting to even find out if they have the jewelry. I can respect the first come first serve concept but if you haven’t even verified that you have what I’m there for then making me wait around is just wasting my time.
Love the dino-tastic tattoos you gave me that one day I showed up there. I will come back more often for more DINOSAUR tattoos. My Velociraptor tattoo looks fierce and deadly but very cool too and my triceratops skull is truly a cool one
