I have been going to Corey Kruger for well over a year now. He has done 9 tattoos for me that are all perfect, exactly what I wanted. His line work is crisp and his coloring is vivid. He is easy to talk with, no ackward silence. Corey is fast and fair in his pricing. I have been to several artists, Corey is my guy.
My buddy and I got incredible tattoos by Corey Kruger today. He was expedient, very skilled with a soft touch, friendly, great conversationalist, and understanding when I was whining. I absolutely recommend him to all, and will be going back to him in the future.
I went to Lucky Gal on November 5th, and honestly, I regret it more than anything. My piercings are special to me, so this whole situation made me unbelievably upset. I only went in because I couldn’t get jewelry through a piercing that was a year and a half old. Charlie, the piercer, told me one of my holes was “completely closed” and that he needed to reopen it. I trusted him. Huge mistake. The moment he pierced me, I felt the needle go through like a brand new piercing - sharp, painful, and nothing like what reopening a hole should feel like. I said multiple times that it didn’t feel right, and he kept brushing it off and saying the hole was closed. After he was done, my ear immediately felt compressed, hot, and swollen and later I realized the compression was because he tightened the jewelry way too much. It was so uncomfortable that even sitting still hurt. By that night, my intuition was screaming at me to get it checked somewhere else. So I went to a real professional piercing studio, and the second they examined my ear, they relieved the pressure and took a better look. What they told me made my jaw drop: My original piercing hole was STILL OPEN. Charlie did NOT reopen anything ... he pierced an entirely NEW third hole in my ear. That explain the heavy bleeding I had from the piercing and the new piercing like pain. To make it worse, he pierced me using jewelry that I brought in, which I later confirmed is absolutely not appropriate or safe for a fresh piercing. Any reputable piercer would know this. What makes me the most upset is how dismissive he was. He didn’t listen to me when I said it felt wrong, didn’t double-check anything, and didn’t take responsibility. It was careless, unprofessional, and disrespectful. I’m writing this so no one else has to deal with what I went through. Please go to an actual professional piercing studio — one that prioritizes safety and knows what they’re doing. I wish I had, and it would’ve saved me pain, money, and so much frustration. I have attached a photo of my eat my ear post-removal the next day, once the pressure and swelling started to decrease.
