Adrian did a great job on my flash tattoo for Friday the 13th/Valentines Day. He was quick & was friendly & awesome. Can't wait to go back & get more work done by him! Everyone that worked there were nice & down to Earth. Highly recommend this place! Good prices too!
TL;DR: A scammer/hacker stole $800 from me, using Bubba's, The Artist, real account. Artist plays the "I'm hacked and can't do anything about it" card. It's been 3 years and still no closure. FULL STORY: It's been a couple years since it happened, around 2022, and honestly I'm still salty about it, so I'm finally writing this review because I think people deserve to know. I doubt I can take it to court now, so I might as well post it. I was working at a previous job when a co-worker recommended a tattoo artist called Bubba. One day, I found an account named Bubba from the House of Pain. Looking at his profile, he seemed legitimate: had a large following, had his Facebook portfolio linked, lot of likes on different tattoo posts. I shot a message in request for a quote for several tattoos. I received messages from who I thought was Bubba, since it was coming from his account. We settled on one for $800. I naively sent the entire $800 as a deposit in 2 payments via Cashapp. 2nd payment of $800, the scammer said he didn't receive it. I thought it was still Bubba, but it smelled fishy. I demanded the entire money back or else I'd call the cops and he deactivated his account. I walked up to this shop with my dad and confronted Bubba. He said he couldn't do anything about it. It just sounded like he wasn't gonna try to fix anything and leave his hacked account active. If enough effort was put into the matter, that money wouldn't have been stolen right under me and I probably would've had my first tattoo by now. It's a shame, really. What's even funnier is that I threatened to go to the News outlets with this information that I was scammed using his own account, and he became aggressive with me, almost like if he wanted to throw a punch. I regret playing the bigger guy, because now I can't do anything to retaliate legally and their lack of urgency on a cybersecurity matter didn't go punished. These guys don't have their fort locked down. I'd think twice about this place, y'all.
Clean and professional shop, @alwaysbig.j (IG) worked with me on two designs. One was a cover up on my arm and another a piece on my leg. He listened to what I was looking for and created several designs for me to see first. The other artists that I met were super talented as well. Definitely recommend.
