Golden Yeti Art Collective

I started going to Louie at Golden Yeti about two years ago. In total, he has done four tattoos for me from then until now and I get complements everywhere I go! Folks are always asking who my artist is and telling me how great the placement looks, all thanks to Louie! The artwork is phenomenal and the placements work so well. All of the other artists have been super friendly and are also incredibly talented. I will definitely be coming back! Thanks, y’all! The photo is from before it healed :)

I got my tattoo here back in 2022 and have debated leaving a review ever since. I emailed to book for a specific artist and instead got told that my design was too small. I got slotted with an apprentice. This was my first tattoo so I was excited and optimistic. Considering the quality of the work and how small and simple the design was I paid far too much (over $100...). When I almost passed out on the table, the artists bedside manner was sub par at best and discouraging at worst. The healing was rough, I've talked to other tattoo artist friends of mine and they theorize that my artist went too deep with the needle. I ended up getting the design covered and there's still scar tissue remaining where the initial design once was. I was really bummed with my experience here. I felt the shop and my artist treated my tattoo as trivial and unimportant because it was small and a more common design. I've since had drastically better experiences at different shops. I'd don't think I'd ever recommend a friend go here.

I have had all 4 of my tattoos done here, they are hands down the best. Since moving back to texas I have had a hard time finding someone that does great work like all of them at golden yeti. Next time I'm in town visiting family I will be sure to make a appointment to get another one done. If any of the artist come back to texas for a convention I will be sure to check it out. All of the artist are friendly and the shop is very clean.
