Dear You Tattoo

Looked around KC & decided to settle on Dear You Tattoo. I'm very happy to say this place did not let me down! This was my first tattoo. The ease and communication when booking a date really alleviated alot of stress & nerves. They were quick to respond and just as quick to bend communication around my odd work hours. The studio was CLEANNN! Great environment; sad to say I didn't catch everyone's names, but everybody was very friendly and very welcoming. I got to work with Gina and I've got nothing but wonderful things to say about her! I showed Gina what I drew and what I was wanting to get. She shared a sizing aspect concern of one of the details I drew. She wasn't pushy in the slightest about it, which I very much appreciated. She showed and explained to me the sizing edit she thought would work best and I was quick to agree with her. I loved that her edit did not change my drawing, rather her edit made my drawing work as the tattoo I asked for. Gina gave me exactly what I wanted and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out! I hardly felt or noticed any discomfort at any time which was great because again, this was my first tattoo. I was actually quite relaxed! Pretty sure I got a nap in for a few minutes during the hour & a half Gina worked lol She explained aftercare to me really well and clear. I came in feeling a little nervous, but the environment quickly settled me down. I left feeling great and smiling as Gina really made sure I had an amazing first tattoo experience. I even got a sticker for sitting still well... XD I can easily see myself going back to Dear You at some point. I cannot say enough amazing things about Justin. I first met him and saw his style at a tattoo convention. We then communicated via phone to discuss that tattoo i wanted. I gave him a general idea of what i wanted to memorialize my cats and let him run with the idea. What he gave me was an absolutely gorgeous and hilariously accurate tattoo of my 2 boys, Phineas and Ferb. I am so happy I trusted the process and traveled 2 hours to get the tattoo done. In general, Justin is one of the kindest humans and genuinely cared about my comfort level throughout the 6 hours. He is also light-handed which makes a big difference when you’re sitting in the chair for a long time. I will definitely travel to get tattooed by him again.

I've been coming here for months now working with Dezi to complete a half sleeve. The entire staff is so friendly and the shop is clean and inviting to be in. I can't say enough good things about Dezi! Her artwork is incredible and she always makes sure that I'm comfortable during our sessions. I'll keep coming back for sure!
