Rowan King of Prussia

went recently to get my lobes pierced and i scheduled online for device piercing. at the shop i was told because of placement in regards to a previous piercing they’d recommended switching to needle piercing instead of device. i was expecting to pay approx $130 for the device piercing ($50 for piercing both ears and $80 for the pair of earrings). because of the recommendation i said it was fine to switch to needle piercing but was not told the drastic price difference. i even mentioned to the nurse oh i think the needle is $20 more right? (priced per ear at $35, bringing my total for the piercing and not jewelry to $70 instead of $50), she said yes and that was the end of the price conversation. when i got to the checkout my total for everything was $260 and i was shocked saying “oh i didn’t realize the price was so different” when i checked my receipt i saw not only is the piercing priced per hole but so is the jewelry. so instead of 50 and 80 it was 78 per ear for jewelry plus 35 per ear for service. so now my total was 226 PLUS the $20 after care spray i wasn’t asked if i wanted, was just given and had to pay for. the staff were wonderful, everything was very clean, tons of jewelry options but i feel like the pricing was very sneaky and left very upset with the shocking upsell. also on top of that being asked to tip didn’t help. makes me wonder if i was recommended the needle piercing for true better outcome or for a quick price increase.

I was really keen on making sure I took my daughter to a place that was clean and would be done well. I’m so glad I chose Rowan for my daughter. They were great from start to finish. So warm and welcoming. My daughter’s piercer was Ty and she was wonderful! She made my daughter really comfortable and made me comfortable too with some humor knowing I was also nervous. My daughter had the needles with flat back and just so happy with the experience and how her piercings look. She is just on cloud 9 and I’m so relieved to have chosen a place like Rowan.
