After having brunch with daughter, Son-in-Law and grandchildren, we decided to check out Adventures in Ink on Free Comic Book Day. As home is in Chicago and we have been two hours away for almost two months, with no comic shop for hours away, this was the perfect day to visit this new store. The staff and customers were friendly. There were people drawing sketches for visitors. I picked up some FCBD books for the grandchildren and parents, and a few for me. They also gave away a Pokémon figure to build. I also bought issues 1-2 of Absolute Martian Manhunter. Will definitely come back when we are in the area.
It was my first time to a comic book shop and I felt welcomed. Both Eli and Liz guided me through the store and shared details about different gifts to consider. They were helpful and made the process enjoyable. I look forward to going back.
