La Volta Tattoo is a hidden gem on the westside of LA. Tucked away behind a busy boulevard, you’ll pass through greenery and the sweet smell of jasmine before finding yourself at the steps of the quaint and welcoming tattoo studio. Once you enter La Volta, you are greeted by one or both of the owners, the stunning Gina (@ginaseepentina) or the striking Taylor (@taylorlafortuna). Gina holds a more traditional needle while Taylor embraces fine lines and typography. Their work speaks for itself (hence why I left the Instagram handles). Both artists take health and safety regulations quite seriously but it is a very relaxed and flowing space. And finally, (but maybe the most important thing to note), both Gina and Taylor have impeccable taste in music so you’ll leave La Volta with a special little piece of art on your skin and also with a little bit of heaven in your ears.

Truly La Volta exceeds the five stars for me! I’ve been coming to La Volta for quite a few years now and have gotten tattooed by both Gina and Taylor. Being adorned by them is a special experience and I’m honored to have both of their artwork on my body. Not only that, I get so many compliments on my tattoos!
