Anvil Tattoo

Mandy was great! It was my birthday and I decided I wanted to add to my ear collection. She talked to me about my anatomy for some of the piercings I had in mind and we ended up being able to do them. I got my conch and flat and they looked so lovely. I've never felt so informed about piercings and I've had many many piercings. She was kind, informative, and respectful and I know she'll be my go-to from now on.

Just got my conch pierced here today! Mandy was super precise and actually spent more time with the placement than the piercing itself, which was so comforting. She explained every step of the process thoroughly and made sure I understood what she was doing. I'm very pleased and will be returning in the future!

Great shop! I tracked down Waylon when he moved to Anvil Tattoo from Lone Star Tattoo and was very pleasantly surprised with the place. I had a good time and got a phenomenal piece, as always from Waylon. Scheduled the appointment about two weeks' in advance by text. I hadn't brought cash (payment by cash only!!) and they were very flexible with letting me go withdraw some and then coming back. We got started about 30min later. I provided some reference photos and Waylon sketched the design directly onto my arm with a sharpie, and then refined it with a finer pen once we'd confirmed it. All in all I was there for about four hours, and Waylon finished all of my upper left halfsleeve except for a sliver on the inside of my arm. I'll be going back in a few weeks so he can finish that part. $240 for the piece. Very good price, very good work! I definitely recommend this shop. Waylon is a seasoned tattoo artist and oversees most of the art in the shop, so the work is a lot more reliable and trustworthy than many of the other shops in McKinney.
