Good to know before you book

  • Fine-line and micro work here demands a clear reference — bring high-res images and expect a short consult before the needle.
  • Traditional pieces tend to be quoted by piece, not hourly. Ask for flash sheets if you want a same-week appointment.
  • Larger Japanese pieces are usually booked across multiple sittings — plan for at least two visits.
  • Realism and portrait work depends heavily on reference quality — clean, well-lit source photos make the biggest difference.
  • Colour-heavy pieces benefit from a structured touch-up visit 4–6 weeks after healing.

As someone who’s mostly covered in tattoos, I’ve worked with a lot of artists, and the pieces I’ve gotten from Isaac are hands down my favorites. He is extremely talented, and can hit the full range of styles. On top of being an incredible artist, Isaac is just a great person to spend hours with while getting tattooed. He’s professional but super easy to hang out with, which makes long sessions feel way less long. As a woman getting tattooed, feeling safe and respected is huge, and Isaac does an amazing job of creating that kind of environment. The same goes for Daredevil as a shop in general. The atmosphere is welcoming, professional, and respectful, and every artist is incredible, which makes the whole experience even better. I can’t recommend Isaac, or Daredevil, enough. I also highly recommend the walking tour of the city that they offer!

Walked by randomly and stopped in for a Friday the 13th flash. This is the third shop I've tried in my one year in New York, and I'm happy to say I've finally found my new local spot 🥰 The vibe was *chef's kiss* immediately upon walking in. Friday the 13th is always chaotic and I couldn't believe how friendly and attentive they still were despite being busy. The woman at the front (Harmony I think?) was so nice. And it wasn't that fake customer service friendly; everyone seemed genuinely pleasant and not like they secretly wanted to go home. Loved the tattoo I got from Rhiannon and friendly chit chat is always appreciated when I'm getting tatted. 10/10 experience here. Thank you!

A very pleasant atmosphere, a historic museum, and a very polite team who will gladly give you a tour, share stories, and create any tattoo you want. This is where the history of New York tattoos was born. Highly recommended — a truly iconic and friendly place.
