Good to know before you book
- Fine-line and micro work here demands a clear reference — bring high-res images and expect a short consult before the needle.
- Traditional pieces tend to be quoted by piece, not hourly. Ask for flash sheets if you want a same-week appointment.
- Larger Japanese pieces are usually booked across multiple sittings — plan for at least two visits.
- Realism and portrait work depends heavily on reference quality — clean, well-lit source photos make the biggest difference.
- Colour-heavy pieces benefit from a structured touch-up visit 4–6 weeks after healing.

I’ve been to Dice a couple times for smaller pieces but I’ve been working with Komal for about 6 months on my biggest piece to date. Komal created a custom piece for my back, and she’s incredibly talented, endlessly chill, and super thoughtful - the back has tons of spicy spots but she’s been so patient and accommodating even I start crying like a baby. Everytime I show up to the shop the vibes are warm and welcoming and the music selection is always on point 🫡 I’ll always recommend Dice for folks looking to get ink in NYC!
Great experience with Komal Shah. Very personal and very fun to talk too. Appreciate the "little opal present" my sister gave her. Most definitely coming back!
Love going here. Ive had a couple of tattoos done by Mike. He does great work. I don't go to anyone else if I want a big or detailed piece done correctly. Mike knows his stuff. Highly recommend 🤗
