NOBLE ART | Tattoo, Piercing, Academy New York

NYC location: For a few years I’ve had my eye on a patch tattoo and it looked like THE person to go to was in Europe and had no plans to come to the NYC area. I looked on instagram for patch tattoo artists and while there were some good ones, I felt their work wasn’t consistently great. Then I came across Noemi Buendia Quintanilla and there wasn’t a tattoo in her portfolio that wasn’t consistently fantastic. I shared with her my idea, I saw that she had done something somewhat similar for another baseball team, and set the appointment. She was remarkable. I’ll get back to her soon. The Noble Art shop is modern, clean, welcoming, warm in the winter, and I appreciated when I came in they offered me coffee, tea, or a beverage, and offered me that throughout my time there. When I was getting ready to be tattooed, multiple artists were conferring with each other about what the perfect placement and size of the tattoo would be on my arm size and shape. They made some slight adjustments to the shape so that it would look more like a real circle, even though the arm curves. It was pretty remarkable to see each of them working with each other, FOR each other, for MY benefit. And as a result, I felt supported and really confident that it was going to be a great experience. Noemi was precise, warm, caring, open to some humor, and went out of her way to give the tattoo all the time it needed, even though it ended up taking considerably longer than initially anticipated. It was so clear that her goal was doing her best tattoo so that I would get the best tattoo possible without cutting any corners. You take a risk getting a tattoo from a new artist, but please use this review as confirmation that there’s no risk here. Only a great tattoo! Overall, I got a real strong sense of a family atmosphere there where all of the artists are not only doing great work for themselves and their clients, but helping each other and other clients to have great experiences. Shout out to the manager/piercer who was very helpful along the way.

I can’t say enough good things about Alejandro Zalve and Noble Art Tattoo. From the very first conversation, Alejandro took incredible care of me — not just as a client, but as a person. He guided me through the entire process, from the initial concept and design ideas all the way to the final tattoo, with an attention to detail and professionalism that is truly rare. The design process was thoughtful and collaborative. He listened carefully to my ideas, respected the emotional value of the piece, and transformed it into something even better than I imagined. On the day of the session, everything was clean, organized, calm, and extremely professional. Beyond the technical skill (which is outstanding), what really stands out is how friendly, patient, and passionate he is about his work. You can tell he genuinely cares about delivering the best possible result. The final tattoo exceeded my expectations in every way. If you’re looking for an artist who combines talent, creativity, professionalism, and great human quality, I 100% recommend Alejandro Zalve and Noble Art Tattoo. Could not recommend Noemi more she did an amazing job! We discussed what I was wanting. I am in Utah so we had to work it in to a family vacation. Even helped me get in a little early as to not waste too much time away from family. The studio is amazing and will definitely be returning for another tattoo.
