I had a faux industrial (helix and forward helix that I'll hopefully connect with a chain) done by Joan, with supervision from Logan. She did a great job! She answered all my questions, checked my 6 month old conch, and already knew about a weird anatomy quirk that I only researched myself about a year ago lol. The piercings were quick and only hurt for a moment. This studio has titanium jewelry if you're on a budget, but they specialize in much more expensive gold jewelry and don't keep a lot of titanium in stock. They also don't have an anodizer if you want it in a different color, hence the mixed metals. It may be worth it to call ahead so they have time to order the pieces you want if you're interested in titanium. Also be warned, the studio is up 3 flights of stairs and I didn't see an elevator. It's a pretty small space... cons of being in NYC! Otherwise the experience was great. Everyone was personable, and TJ was kind and professional over the phone even though I had to reschedule several times due to the huge snowstorm.
I came in recently to get my two nose studs down-sized. I called in to see if there were any walk-in times and I got really lucky and was able to find a good time in the day for both me and Studio 28. It was really easy for them to help me do my down-sizing. Overall, the two employees that were helping me out were very nice and welcoming. It was my first time stopping in! I heard about Studio 28 recently from a tattoo artist and this was a great recommendation. Chris was the employee that did the down-sizing for me. I 100% would come back for when I want to get a new piercing hopefully in the near future :) Clean place, cool vibes, great employees.
Very pricey for the jewelry, but the piercing service itself was only $40. George’s service was amazing, with suitable chatter and a clean, efficient, and quick piercing experience. You can bring a guest in the piercing room to comfort you, and there are comfortable seats in the waiting area for anyone else. Front desk staff were very helpful, and restrooms were available.
