"Skin It" Tattoo 5th Street

I went to skin it on 5th street to get my tragus pierced on my birthday! my ex boyfriend had been there in the past to get his eyebrows done and they were beautiful so i trusted that this was a trustworthy studio as my regular studio was closed on my birthday when i wanted to get it done. the studio was very clean and the piercer was an absolute sweetheart, however the piercing itself was absolutely botched. i took one glance before i left, thinking that the bar was just really long but the positioning was completely off. it was essentially the complete opposite angle than it was supposed to go, i followed aftercare instructions for two days before it was completely enveloped and i had to go to my regular piercer to get it removed. i reached out to the piercer herself and the owner for a refund (i told her to keep the tip and cost of jewelry but i would appreciate if i could get back ~$40 for the piercing itself) i heard some back but all communications stopped when i mentioned getting it redone by my regular piercer rather than having it redone at skin it by the wife of the artist who originally did it. i lost my $70 and unfortunately my trust in this studio, i will not be returning.

Kezia, my tattoo artist, created my first tattoo on my foot in 2016 and my arm tattoo in 2020. Recently, she reworked my arm tattoo to brighten it up, and it turned out absolutely beautiful! Kezia is incredibly kind and considerate. She made sure I felt comfortable throughout the process and ensured I was completely satisfied with the tattoo before I left. Additionally, she maintains a high level of cleanliness and sanitation. Scheduling an appointment with her is also very easy and smooth.

I got my nose pierced by Christine and I can’t express just how amazing she was with me. She let me come in as a walk in. I was an absolute nervous wreck sitting in the chair, but she walked me through it and how it would feel. She also offered me stress stones to hold while we did the piercing. She was very clean and quick with it. She made me feel secure and comfortable. I don’t think I could’ve asked for a better experience! Plus her set up is absolutely adorable!!! I LOVE the pink. It made for a very welcoming environment. On another note, I had initially gone to Skin It on 25th for a piercing, and they did not have any piercers there for walk ins, but one of the tattoo artists sent a message to this location to ask if anyone was available (which Christine was
