Black Diamond Tattoo

I booked an appointment with Johnny at Black Diamond Tattoo Pasadena and paid a $100 deposit for a tattoo scheduled on April 12. A month before the appointment, he mistakenly messaged me thinking I had missed it — turns out he was looking at the wrong calendar. I let that go because mistakes happen 🤷‍♀️ When the actual appointment day came, I showed up to the shop and he was a no-show. After trying to work things out, he initially refused to refund the full deposit, despite not performing any service and missing the appointment himself. Only after I made it clear I wouldn’t accept a partial refund did he return the full amount. I appreciate that I was eventually refunded after hours of back and forth, but the experience overall was disorganized, stressful, and unprofessional. If you’re considering booking here, I strongly recommend getting everything in writing and being cautious with deposits. He decided to send one last message saying he was not a generous person and blocked me on all accounts 🤷‍♀️ worst experience with a tattoo artist in all of Pasadena. To think I almost brought him 2 more clients as well, dodged a bullet

Johnny is absolutely amazing! I figured it would take me a bit to find a tattoo artist that I could consistently go to after moving to the Houston area, but I was recommended Johnny and my search is over! He already finished a piece that I had started a few years ago and made it way better than I could imagine. We've also started a new piece that looks awesome without even being fully done. I can't wait to continue adding more pieces, but I'm definitely sticking with Johnny to do them!

I've used Johnny a few times. Once in this shop and a couple times before he moved. He does amazing work! I could not recommend him enough and I cannot wait to go back for more ink!
