Matt is simply amazing: a great conversationalist, a superb artist, hospitable, candid, funny, professional, friendly, cultured, and has a chill calming aura. His shop aesthetic is far from the typical - bringing a rich Victorian vibe with artwork on the walls that keeps active minds busy and content. Love the row location on Fremont. Overall, a great tattoo experience. Bonus - a shop visit from his adorable daughter, who is precociously entertaining.
This review is long overdue. I met Matthew almost 20 years ago. I only have 4 tattoos that Matthew did and I love them all but he just finished my most recent one and I love it the most. He is awesome when it comes to fine detail. When you see Matthew you will never be disappointed!
Matthew was awesome. It was my second tattoo I'd ever received (first by him) and he did a wonderful lettering job on my wrist. Was incredibly nice, very friendly, and unlike most tattoo artists, made me feel very welcome and comfortable and had great customer service skills. Didn't have the normal "too cool" feeling of most tattoo shops that usually drives me away and really took his time and consideration into my wants/desires for the lettering. Also - LGBT friendly and does lots of tattoos for the LGBT community. Highly recommend him and this shop!
