I had such an incredible experience with Jesse! I needed some help getting my daith piercing back in after briefly removing it, and he was wondeful! The shop was clean, the environment felt safe and calm, and it was overall a wonderful experience. Jesse was caring and listened to my experiences, and was very knowledgeable and professional. I will absolutely be going back if I ever need to replace my jewelry again, and the next time I get a piercing.

I struggle to write this review since Jesse seems genuinely passionate and has an inviting personality. I enjoyed speaking with him and his shop. Unfortunately my experience after my piercing reflects a significant amount of oversight. I received a cartilage (helix) piercing, essentially a standard cartilage piercing. Upon waking the next day the entire back of my ear and side of my head/hair was covered in dry blood, itchy, and painful. This was after not sleeping on it and while using an indented recovery pillow. I cleaned it and decided to go on with my day thinking the pain would improve. It did not, it got worse. I started to feel like something wasn’t right. This pain and amount of blood had never been something I experienced after a piercing. I have had a LOT of piercings. These include nipple piercings for 10 years made of implant grade titanium with no issues whatsoever. After looking closely I realized that I was pierced with a 18g which is not a sufficient anchor to the cartilage and more prone to migrate. The piercing was also not straight and was at an angle where you could see the back protruding from a facing forward position. This was unfortunately not due to the length of the bar but because my ear was pierced on a diagonal. At this point my trust was lost and I did not feel comfortable returning to the studio to correct it. Finally, my most upsetting realization, was that the jewelry that was used to pierce my ear was externally threaded. Your freshly pierced jewelry should always be internally threaded. Think of a fish on a hook, or, would you want to clean an open wound with a toothbrush? This is the effect you have and are traumatizing the piercing site every time you remove and insert the external thread. There was both blood and hair inside of the ball. I have never used externally threaded jewelry unless a piercing was many years healed. From what I see, read, and hear all negative aspects of my experience could have been prevented however Jesse has justifications to lower cost which I understand but I would have rather paid more to receive a piercing that was done straight and with implant grade material. Jesse you are a very nice man and have a lot of experience however I hope you take this feedback intro consideration because this was very disheartening experience from someone who never expected this to be the outcome. For review viewers, the photo shows the jewelry and gauge used to piece me on the right 18g compared to a size 14g on the left.

Jesse is amazing, we were just there with my wife getting a new nose jewelry piece and he was great and very professional. As a resident of Reston I very much believe that he makes our Lake Ann community better and more diverse, I feel like I can find anything in that one place, from great Latino American food, fantastic beer, piercings and much more! Thank you Jesse for your service and making our community better.
