I’ve gotten a number of tattoos from Betsy and each one is beautifully done! Her line work is out of this world. I love all my Betsy pieces! She’s professional and runs and clean and lovely space.

As a business owner, it takes a lot for me to leave a negative review. I’m sharing this to prevent others from spending significant money and being disappointed. This review is about my experience training under Betsy, not the tattoo service itself. I trained with Betsy twice. The first training was fine. She then encouraged me to book a second training for an additional $250, bringing the total to $750. I expected more education, but the second training was significantly less educational than the first. When I arrived, she had not booked the required models and forgot we were supposed to have two. She scrambled last minute to find one. Instead of working on prepared fake skin as expected in a tattoo course, I was instructed to trace flowers on paper and freehand without stencils, which had not been prepared in advance. The lack of organization and professionalism was clear. More concerning was how I was spoken to. Multiple times, I was referred to as a “basic white b” or told my work was “basic white girl.” This language was inappropriate and unprofessional, and race should never be brought into a training environment. When I later contacted her about rescheduling an additional model I had paid $250 for, she became aggressive. I asked if she believed she provided $750 worth of education, and she said no. I requested a full refund and was only refunded $250. Based on my experience, I do not recommend training under this business.
