EmberSteel Tattoo Studio

First tattoo ever, and I couldn't be happier with it. From the second I walked in, I felt welcomed and cared for. They did a fantastic job communicating with me through every step of the way. I was nervous and needed special help, and Robyn made sure to assure me that we could stop at any point, and helped troubleshoot the pain with some numbing gel. She's totally awesome and I am never going to any other tattoo shop. The pricing was great (make sure to tip your artist!), the vibes were wonderful, the people were friendly and helpful, and their love for the craft really shines. They're masters at what they do, never once overworked my skin, and I came out with something I can be super proud to show off. Edited to add, the last photo of it on my leg was taken in the mirror. The lettering is not backwards on the tattoo :)

Absolutely one of the best places in Salt Lake to get a tattoo! Jamie is of the highest class of artists when it comes to getting a tattoo. Supreme style combined with an incredible personality make for a fantastic experience. I always feel comfortable, welcome and enjoy my tattoo at EmberSteel!

I have been tattooed by both Jamie Stocks and Hy Amenero. This studio is so wonderful--everyone who works here is so friendly and kind. I feel especially safe here as a trans person (and for Utah, I think that says a lot about a business). Jamie's work is stunning and they are always so kind throughout the entire tattoo process. Jamie took so much consideration into the designs they did for me and their excitement when I came to them with what I wanted made it that much more special. I'm in love with the tattoos and am so happy to have them on me forever. I will be coming back to Jamie many more times, guaranteed. Hy is such a talented artist and has such a unique style! I've had the opportunity to be tattooed by them twice and each time was a delight. They have the most delightful laugh, by the way. All that being said, It is really special to get to be tattooed by other gender non conforming people. I have never felt safer or more at home when getting a tattoo than I do with Jamie or Hy. I love all of the designs that I have received from both Hy and Jamie at EmberSteel. What's more, I get complimented on them all the time which is always a plus.
