I came here when my artist, Tyler Bloomingdale, switched over from another shop and I keep coming back. Tyler is phenomenal and he worked with me to create a huge, affordable, full color piece that was both satisfying to me and functional. Pat, the owner, is amazing and an extremely talented realism artist. I just recently went to Hydra's grand opening event and got a comic book style tattoo from Abram, he is typically a realism artist but the comic book style piece he did on me is to die for! Caroline, the shops apprentice, is a hero in all ways. She keeps the shop clean, crisp, functioning, and inviting while also delivering quality pieces here and there, I've got an appointment with her coming up and I am very excited. She's a gifted artist on paper and I can't wait to have her do work for me as she improves. I haven't personally been inked by the other artists but they are all such lovely, talented people. I've been to a couple different shops in Salt Lake but Hydra takes the cake for me. Got an amazing tattoo here by April. She’s incredibly talented, professional, friendly, entertaining, and dry well priced. She completed my big arm tattoo in 3 hours (lots of line work, shading, coloring and stippling). Her work is crisp and very high quality. The shop is clean and chill - I felt comfortable there. I’m definitely going back!
