The Hive SLC Tattoo & Aftercare

I got a tattoo done by Kira and she went above and beyond anything I could have imagined. She was incredibly friendly and professional throughout the entire process—from the consultation, to scheduling, to actually doing the tattoo. She made me feel comfortable and confident every step of the way. The shop itself was super clean, cozy, and had such a welcoming vibe. The other artists were friendly as well, which made the whole experience even better. I’m beyond happy with how everything turned out and will absolutely be coming back to Kira for future work. Highly recommend!

I live in Texas and had scheduled to get my first tattoo with my sibling when I was in Utah, but my tattoo artist cancelled on us last minute. So we thought we'd try a walk in at the Hive and just see if anyone was available. From the second I walked in, I felt so at ease, welcome, and taken care of. Even more meant to be, I saw someone from my run club in Texas getting a tattoo. Antonio was incredibly kind and got me in. He was so skilled and brought my vision exactly to life! He was so kind, encouraging, and funny even when I was a wuss. He also gave me a trophie, which I thought was hilarious. I can't recommend these people enough!

UPDATE: all I can say is "wow" the tattoo came out far better than I ever could have imagined. Mason and his whole team have incredible talent and it's clear they care about making the best possible artwork. I want to emphasize that while this was done by Mason, it's very clear to me that everyone at this studio is incredibly talented and easily could have executed something just as beautiful. I cannot recommend this studio enough. Their talent and the clear family that exists here is so worth it. Thank you again. Will post an update after I actually get the tattoo but the consultation alone is 5 star worthy. Mason spent over an hour with me working through my very specific requests to come up with something absolutely beautiful. He also was so helpful in explaining the whole process and working with the fact that my mom and I would be getting this tattoo. The rest of the staff was incredibly friendly and I can't wait to get my tattoo now that it's on the books!
