Good to know before you book
- Traditional pieces tend to be quoted by piece, not hourly. Ask for flash sheets if you want a same-week appointment.
- Realism and portrait work depends heavily on reference quality — clean, well-lit source photos make the biggest difference.
- Walk-in availability isn't always posted online — a quick phone call is the fastest way to know if they can fit you in today.
- Calendars tend to book several weeks out — reach out as early as possible if you have a target date.

Started a large piece with Dalton here at Graves Tattoo and had a wonderful experience. The whole shop was kind, welcoming, and very clean. Honestly, I’d feel comfortable letting anyone there tattoo me based on my interactions with them. Dalton is great at his craft and I trust him completely for small or large projects. He is one of the only artists in the United States I’d go to for a Nordic/Celtic piece. He was knowledgeable on not just the art style but the history behind it. Looking forward to going back!
Hand down best tat shop in town! Gary knows his craft and is definitely top notch! The rest of the crew is awesome! Vibe is great and laid back! Perfect environment for tattoos. You get what you pay for, and you’re getting quality at this shop! Customer service is over the top good!
They charge not by the tattoo size, complexity and coloring, but by the hour ($150), this wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't because of the fact that they'll milk your tattoo, so that something small, one color, no shading, and simple in design that should take no more than 45 minutes, will take them two hours or more. I did however agree with the tattoo artist completion estimate of 1 hour and 30 minutes. I speak for my own experience, and for another costumer who also had a simple tattoo done, yet it took them forever to finish.
