I had a lower back tattoo done by Kandace and loved the experience!! It was my first tattoo, so I was nervous about the pain. She was very patient with me and did what she could to make the experience more relaxing (talking me through it, applying Bactine periodically). I'm glad I could power through and know what to expect for the aftercare process as well. Kandace is very passionate about the art, and the care is reflected in her work. 10/10 experience.

I worked with Wes on a Japanese style half-sleeve over four sessions and it turned out amazing—literally everything I'd hoped for and more. The design process was very collaborative, and he put in the extra effort to make sure the final design was true to both my concept and an authentic Japanese traditional style. The result is stunning: insanely clean lines, bold colors, and tons of detail without looking too busy. Even before it was finished I was getting constant compliments on it. Wes has a super steady and precise hand. The studio itself is clean, inviting, and attractive. I would 100% recommended anyone in the Atlanta metro area looking for a traditional/Japanese piece to look no further than Wes @ Lightwork!

Got my first ever tattoo done by Wes — a simple but meaningful piece of my mom’s handwriting that says “I love you with all my heart.” From start to finish, he made the whole experience easy and comfortable. You can tell he actually cares about the art and the person wearing it. The shop itself is spotless, calm, and just has good energy — the kind of place that instantly puts you at ease. Every wall has something cool to look at, and the vibe feels more like an art studio than a tattoo shop. For a first tattoo, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Wes is professional, genuine, and clearly passionate about what he does. Definitely earned my trust for the next one.
