West Seattle Tattoo

The artists at this place are fantastic and seem kind enough. I got my first large tattoo here and would have given it five stars however after returning to the place three other times it has dropped to one star. The artist Adam without asking permission pulled down my mesh shirt to look at my collar bone tattoos the owner gave me and the artist Jose while although I will say gave me a decent tattoo gave me a tattoo that in the end feels merely inspired by the tattoo we had discussed and not what I wanted which sucks cause it was extremely expensive, painful, and it covers half of my back. I will take some blame because after sitting there for three hours each session I did tell the artist initially that I loved the tattoo because I did at first. I’ll be honest! However after realizing the discrepancies after sitting with it for a couple days the first time and discussing my feelings on the matter with Jose saying I wanted it to be exactly like the artwork he had shown me I still wound up with something different. Again I did at first say that I liked it and gave a good tip because he assured me it was exactly like the original. 🤦🏻‍♀️ however again after sitting with it I have realized quite a bit of differences I wouldn’t have agreed to. A decent tattoo yes! I will admit! However not the tattoo I had once been excited about. Photos of the tattoo discussed and the tattoo received are attached. Really wanted to like this place but after the experiences I’ve had I feel the need to warn people. If you are someone who trusts a little too easy this is not the place for you.

West Seattle tattoo rocks. Shop is super clean, aesthetic, and fun to be in. Everyone there is super nice and professional. Julie is an incredible artist, super friendly, and has a space that puts you at ease. Her tattoo skills are unmatched by any other and if you’re looking for bright colors you will not find anyone better. Application is super clean, she’s gentle (as much as you can be), and she’s always super prepared and ready for you the second you walk in- no long waits here, and she tattoos really fast also! I’ve been tattooed by Julie at West Seattle tattoo four times and I’ll keep going back because it’s always an amazing experience. I highly recommend.

Julie is stellar! Patient, kind and so dang creative- her flash is rad. I love the vibes of this shop, and for sure will be back for another once mine heals! My buffy tattoo will be the envy of all!
