These other reviews are weird, and fake. There is definitely no Chris or Mike working here. It's owned and operated by one guy, Andrew. Anyway, I had a very frustrating and disappointing experience with Andrew regarding booking a tattoo. Two weeks ago, he contacted me only to send a direct link to pay a deposit for a 3-hour session. I recently replied politely, stating I was ready to pay, but first asked a reasonable question: I wanted to know his plan for the design—specifically, if he had time to draw it up before the appointment, or if he planned to freehand it. I was actually fine with either option, I just wanted to know if he had a plan before I get something permanently on my body. This is a crucial question for any client before committing a deposit. Andrew has completely ignored this question and has not replied for over 24 hours. This lack of professional communication—where payment is the priority and basic design discussion is ignored—is unacceptable. A trustworthy artist respects the client's peace of mind and the design process before requiring payment. I'm moving on to an artist who is more reliable and responsive.

Andrew did an absolute amazing job on a coverup! I got a 3/4 sleeve and could not be happier. He is skilled, knowledgeable, and friendly. You will not regret Monroe Street Tattoo! I gave him the themes I wanted and he designed everything himself. The artwork and execution are amazing!

I’ve recently started getting my first tattoo, after lots of time and research I ended up choosing Andrew and his shop and it’s the best decision I could have made. Through the whole process he has be amazing, I wanted my tattoo to tell a story and he made a design and that was beautiful and it also helped tell the story I wanted to tell. He is a true professional and genuinely cares about his clients. I haven’t finished my tattoo yet but I love what has been done so far and am very excited to see the final results. I can’t recommend Andrew enough.
