Promised Land Tattoo and Piercing

I came in November for my ear piercing and my daughter’s earlobe piercing. I showed the piercer exactly what I wanted and even pointed to the photo on the wall, but the result looks nothing like it. The jewelry is tucked into my cartilage and you can barely see the stone I paid extra for. I specifically asked for a ruby for my daughter’s July birthday, but was given a garnet instead. Considering the total cost was $530, this was extremely disappointing. When I went back for a follow-up, I asked upfront how much it would cost before being seen. I was told it would be $85 just to change the post for my daughter and I. After already spending so much, I chose to leave instead of paying more. Overall, I left feeling disappointed, taken advantage of and overcharged for the experience.

Came into Promise Land for a walk-in appointment with Chris, but he wasn’t there. We had the pleasure of meeting Katelynn instead, and we’re so glad we did. She took our design ideas and brought them to life on paper, offering great advice and explaining how some colors might not hold up long term. She was super funny, chill, and confident, and after seeing some of her work on her Instagram, we knew we were in good hands. Her fine line work is insanely good! She’s seriously so talented. She did an excellent job on our tattoos and even helped adjust the placement to work around a weird ankle bone lol One of the least painful tattoos I’ve ever had, plus she gave great aftercare advice. The tattoo looks great, and I’m really glad she did them for us. We will definitely be back for more work by her!

Got my septum pierced kinda on a whim after a ton of research. The environment was extremely clean with friendly staff. Maja took me as a walk in and counseled me through the process. I have very sensitive skin and can only safely pierce with real gold. She made me feel so comfortable I just did it. She took her time and made sure she found my sweet spot and my piercing turned out perfect! I was concerned about placement initially but Maja was very supportive and gave me my options. Patience pays off and after my swelling went down I realized my piercing is absolutely perfect and balanced!! I can't wait for my follow up appointment to downsize my ring. If you're on the fence, Maja will take really great care of you.
