Good to know before you book
- Fine-line and micro work here demands a clear reference — bring high-res images and expect a short consult before the needle.
- Traditional pieces tend to be quoted by piece, not hourly. Ask for flash sheets if you want a same-week appointment.
- Realism and portrait work depends heavily on reference quality — clean, well-lit source photos make the biggest difference.
- Colour-heavy pieces benefit from a structured touch-up visit 4–6 weeks after healing.
- Cover-ups are quoted in person — bring a clear photo of the existing piece before requesting a quote.

Grace is absolutely amazing! She is truly an artist and cares about her work. I appreciated her input in sizing and design. She wanted to make sure that we took things into consideration so that the piece would look good, not just now, but years down the road. The final product came out even better than I had envisioned. She took pieces of my story, that had significance to me, and turned them into art. I can't say enough about how fabulous Grace is! The process: I found her work online and fell in love. We connected via email after I submitted an online inquiry that included things like design idea, inspiration photos, tattoo placement, and style. We set up a video consultation to further discuss the design and make sure that my vision and her style were a good fit. It was such an easy process and glad we were on the same page. We scheduled my session during the consultation. We began the appointment refining the design. I can't even explain how much I appreciated this step. I'm a visual person so getting to see different sizes and placements was a huge stress reliever. I appreciated Grace's patience and reassurance during this part of the process. Once we finalized everything, she placed the stencils and got to work. We took a few breaks between the different stages. I loved getting the chance to see the steps leading to the final piece. I just kept falling more in love with each look. I am obsessed with the final piece and have already gotten so many compliments on it! I have shared Grace's info with a few friends already! I can't wait to get more work done by by Grace.
Grace is such a treasure - I am so happy with my art! She took the time to make sure placement was right, and was so patient with me (had to redo the stencil a couple of times 😬). The shop itself creates an environment that makes you feel like you’ve been a client for years- professional staff, clean space, and a banging playlist! 😉 Cannot wait to go back in July!
I first discovered Ragtime Tattoo on January 10th and had the pleasure of working with Katy, and I honestly couldn’t be happier. She is an exceptional artist—talented, thoughtful, and incredibly kind—and easily the best tattoo artist I’ve ever been to. Her attention to detail and care throughout the entire process really stood out. The shop itself has a relaxed, welcoming vibe, and booking is so easy and responsive, which makes the whole experience even better. It feels really special to have found an artist and a shop I trust and am excited to keep coming back to.
