bought a piece from maya jewelry about two years ago. i put the piece in my flat and since i had that piece in i had many issues with that flat. i took the jewelry out one day to see the back was looking like the picture with the green background. i bring the jewelry in and erin tells me pretty much yeah maya had done this to them before an its ONLY bee from maya jewelry that they’ve had pieces discolor like this. they message maya jewelry and maya says “it’s our manufacturing there’s nothing they can do. i message erin asking for what i thought was a fair deal including that all the professionals (piercers & jeweler) knew this was an issue i asked to return the defected piece for a new one or for a refund. the owner jeremy gets back to me i tell jeremy the piece is solid gold it shouldn’t do that. he responds that they have never advertised anything as solid gold as solid gold is too soft. however plated is not APP standard and solid gold doesn't mean 24k (24k is “pure gold”; a piece fully made out of 10k, 14k, 18k or even 24k are all “solid”). so im not sure if i got sold something plated or if jeremy is just confused. since i changed the flat to a different piece all the irritation went down. jeremy passed that off as random chance and not to do with the jewelry that’s turning colors. comparing the backs of earrings from my earring bought in 2022 or 23 to my great grandfathers earring from the 1920s or 30s.
Erin was very sweet and informative. She was gentle with switching my ear piercing and the cleaning process. I would very much recommend her. The staff we also very kind and welcoming.
I paid $150.00 for a very small gold hoop including tipping the woman who put it in my already pierced ear, about 12 months ago. I had to take that hoop out for a medical procedure. I put the hoop back on but could not figure out how to close it. I called blue Lotus and asked if they would help me re close the hoop. Phone answered told me to come in so I drive the 10 miles and when I get there they tell me theirs a charge for closing my hoop. It’s all of maybe 1 minute and after $130.00 plus purchase they’re not willing to help a customer! Maybe they do good work, I don’t know, but don’t expect customer service once they’re done. Very expensive, shitty customer service. EDIT: Since I can't reply to their reply I'll put it here. First, I was offered the 2 o'clock time to come in by your phone answerer and she could have told me about the charge at that time, but didn't. Second. No price was given until drive the 20 minutes to your place. In fact I was told it's up to the person doing it maybe he'd charge maybe not. When I got upset it was because someone sort of yelled out, I'm charging, but no mention of price. Still I didn't yell at anyone, I merely stated you'd be getting the review you deserve, and left. Third. As for wishing me luck, I ended up getting a new gold hoop and put in my ear same day, no form to fill out and here's the kicker. You guys totally ripped me off last year. I paid $20 (and a big tip) for the hoop and the bit of work instead of the $150.00 you guys got out of me... If you guys had your shit together you would've know I'd been a customer several times throughout the years. So as I said. Customer retention.... Bad
