Tips for booking a walk-in wax

Walk-in doesn't always mean no-wait. Most salons triage by service: brows and lip can usually be slipped between booked clients, while Brazilians and full leg take 30–45 minutes and need a real slot. Call before you drive over.

Best times for same-day: weekday mornings and the middle of the afternoon. Friday after work, Saturday morning, and the last hour before close are when even walk-in salons get fully booked.

Bring what you'd bring to a regular appointment: a clean body, no lotions or oils on the area, and your skincare history (retinoids, recent peels, accutane, blood thinners). Showing up prepped saves the esthetician time and gets you out faster.

If you're new to a salon, allow an extra 10–15 minutes — first-time clients usually need to fill out a consent form and a short intake. Bring it up when you call so they can text you the form in advance.
