Deluxe Nails Salon & Spa of Oakley

Highly recommend! Ive been getting my nails done here for years and it’s so easy to make an appointment, they offer consistently great service every time and keep the space very clean. My favorite nail tech is Meggie Le, she is extremely detail oriented but very efficient as well. If she isn’t available, I will work with anyone and I’m always happy with the results! I also hosted a mani/pedi party for my bridesmaids and they reserved a private section for us and made it such a lovely experience.

I really don’t like writing negative reviews but I feel people need to know what they are getting into. I went here to get builder gel on my nails. I had to remove a nail extension and the process quite literally felt like a chop shop. I repeatedly had to ask the nail tech to please not keep using the aggressive carbide metal bit as we got closer to my nail bed. I was ignored and then left with uneven nails. When I mentioned it, she said well you didn’t want to use the aggressive bit so this is what happens. This could’ve been resolved by slowing down.. taking their time and letting my nails soak longer in acetone which I asked as well and was ignored. Multiple times she tried to get me to switch to dip powder which I said no each time. When she went to put the builder gel on, I was not even told to wash my hands. The builder gel was put on then the tips shaped. Most salons I have been to would shape the nails prior to builder gel to make sure the nails were sealed. I was left with debris all over my hands and told to wash my hands when I get home. My nail beds were not even fully painted and no cuticle oil. I asked management to help me get my nails fully painted. Although they fixed it, I was left in tears of frustration of trying to explain the problem while they repeatedly told me to listen. Unfortunately, I think this salon is highly dependent on the tech you get. You can’t select a tech on their website and are randomly assigned unless you know you want. I would suggest to the business to tier their techs so the customer knows the techs level of experience before selecting a service. Disappointing and frustrating experience.

I’ve been coming to Deluxe Oakley for over a year now and it’s by far the best nail spot Ive been to. They’ve got great colors and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Some of the best techs I’ve had were Amy, Em and Meggie. Highly recommend them all though!
