Spavia Day Spa - Rookwood

I have visited Spavia twice with my mom when in town. Every time I leave feeling refreshed and relaxed! I specifically love how informative the aestheticians are with the products they use. The whole experience is luxurious and so refreshing!

EDIT after 2nd visit for massage: (from 5 to 2 stars) 1st visit: I’m satisfied with the facial service. I had the Age Defense facial, and the whole procedure with Brenda was extremely relaxing. The spa has a premier and cozy vibe, and the staff are very attentive. I can’t wait to try the deep tissue massage on my next visit. EDIT after 2nd visit for massage: I’m editing my review since I recently went back for another massage. First, my appointment was scheduled for 4:50pm but the day before, the spa called and asked if they could move it to 4pm coz the therapist needed to leave before 6pm. I agreed to come at 4:30pm. When I arrived, I waited quite a while in the lobby before the therapist came to get me. I had a deep tissue massage, which was okay, but the therapist’s vibe was a bit unwelcoming foreal. The pressure was extremely firm, even though I selected “medium” on the form. She did check in with me midway through the massage to ask about the pressure, and I told her to lessen it, but it still felt the same afterward. Before the massage, while I was filling out the form, I noticed there was an extra charge for deep tissue pressure. However, when I booked online, there was no note mentioning any additional charge for deep tissue pressure. So better check that before choosing the deep tissue/sports massage. I had to select an option coz it was mandatory on the form, so I ended up being charged an extra $35. I honestly should have asked for a refund since the pressure I requested wasn’t even followed. Then, while checking out, I asked for the name of the therapist and found out it was CYRIL. I was surprised coz the therapist I booked online was SENA. Tho it was my first time getting a massage there, I specifically chose SENA because of the positive reviews I read about her. I hadn’t seen her before, so I had no idea that the therapist who worked on me was someone else. I only found out after the service that it wasn’t the therapist I originally booked. Overall, I feel like this was a bad experience.

I’ve been going to Spavia for almost a year and always enjoy my facials. The space is quiet, relaxing, and welcoming. Marina has been wonderful during my visits—skilled, attentive, and consistently providing a great experience. I always leave feeling refreshed. Highly recommend!
