I came in yesterday for a simple eyebrow wax — nothing complicated — and the entire experience made me extremely uncomfortable. From the moment I walked in, the woman working there stared at me like I didn’t belong. I stayed polite, but the energy was immediately off. I went to use the restroom for literally two minutes, and someone started knocking aggressively without saying anything when I answered. That alone put me on edge. When it was time to do my eyebrows, I repeated that I wanted waxing only, but she kept insisting that threading was “better,” even though I clearly stated what service I came for. While waxing me, she decided to add threading anyway, which I did not ask for, but went with anyway because at that point I just wanted the appointment to be over. The vibe was strange. I wasn’t happy with the results and politely told her. Instead of fixing it, she made excuses about why she “couldn’t” wax beneath my brows — even though I’ve had it done many times with no issue. When I asked if her coworker was the manager, she froze up, got visibly scared, and shook her head no… and suddenly was able to fix it. Everything about the interaction felt uncomfortable, unwelcoming, and honestly carried racial undertones. I should not have to feel tense or out of place just to get my eyebrows done. I will not be returning, and I don’t recommend this place to anyone who expects professionalism or basic respect.
