Bombay Salon & Spa

My stylist is Jewel and she does a fantastic job threading my eyebrows. They are thin, and she makes it a priority to keep them as full and as even as possible, the way I prefer them. I am never disappointed and am always apprecative of her customer service and speed! Bombay is a great place and their staff are all amazing and provide great service!

This place should not have a 4 star rating. It looks like a lot of their high ratings are fake from users with foreign titles & only have 1 or 2 reviews. First & last time going to this location. I went for eyebrow threading, and I asked the lady before my service if they had makeup remover because I had the anastasia eyebrow freeze gel on. She said yes, and that she would clean it off before doing the threading. They didn't have or didn't use makeup remover, but instead she was extremely harsh in using alcohol to get rid of the gel. I told her the alcohol was burning my eyelid (because I have sensitive skin) and her response was that the gel was hard and she needed to get it off One of my issues is that all the bombay locations keep raising their prices, but not the quality of service. This location had ripped up chairs & they couldn't or wouldn't invest in a $6 bottle of micellar water that easily gets the brow gel off. My other problem is how they constantly talk around you in a foreign language like Asian nail salons. The only location that I have seen that has hired a black woman is the spottswood location. They don't do soothing aloe vera massages like some other eyebrow threading places do (at the same or lower price point than bombay). There's an eyebrow shop next to the vsl nail shop on Winchester that I went to & they did a quick but soothing aloe vera massage and gave me a loyalty punch card. The only reason I haven't been back is because it's not a convenient location for me Lastly, there is no rewards program. Every other eyebrow threading business that I've been to has had a digital loyalty program/punch card. For example, after 9 services the 10th is free. Ultimately, I'm ready to find a new, preferably black owned space, to get my eyebrows done
