Each time I go to Jon Alan, I have such a great experience. Ashley and her team work hard to make the visit comfortable and enjoyable. Ashley always gives me a fantastic women’s haircut—she takes the time to listen to what I want and make thoughtful suggestions that work perfectly with my hair texture and lifestyle. I leave feeling that my hair is fresh, easy to style, and exactly what I hope for. I also get my eyebrows waxed and tinted by Emily, the aesthetician at Jon Alan, and it is just as wonderful. She’s incredibly precise and makes sure the shape and color look natural and flattering. I go from having basically no eyebrows that are overgrown to brows look polished. Highly recommend this salon for both hair and brow services!

I’ve delayed writing this because I truly dislike leaving negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to be honest about my experience with Sunni at this salon. I came in for a simple haircut and to have my existing highlights blended. After the first appointment, my hair looked fine overall, though a few pieces hadn’t lifted properly. I was told to come back the next day for a quick, “15‑minute” fix to let those sections process a bit more. When I returned, the appointment lasted nearly an hour, and the end result left me close to tears. Two large sections of my hair were completely bleached blonde with no blending into the rest of my hair. I was then sent home (at 4 p.m. on Halloween, mind you) with half my head still wet and covered in purple shampoo because I was told it “needed to tone more.” Thankfully, I had driven rather than walked; at least I could hide in my car. Once I got home, I used every purple shampoo and toner I had in an attempt to cool down the blonde, but it was unsalvageable. It ultimately took my regular stylist two separate sessions to correct both the color and the cut, which was uneven and erratic. As someone who loves and embraces her naturally curly hair, it was devastating to feel I had to straighten it just to make it look presentable--that’s how poorly the curly cut was executed. I will not be returning to this salon, and I am still shocked that what started as a seemingly fine experience resulted in damage that took three months to fix.

Ive had nothing but great experiences at Jon Alan. Ashley is a magician! She has such a great eye and style. She can do whatever she wants to my hair.
