I have been going on and off to WAX Nashville since I moved here almost 10 years ago. In the spirit of transparency, the relationship between me and WAX budding as opportunities for intimacy came and went. Denise—I will see no other—makes all brazilians and pubic wax work the least pain possible and is one of the safest, kindest humans on earth. When it comes to expanding my patronage of WAX—enter Elyse. She came to WAX from her company with me attached by a steel rope to her services to see her here. There are not many providers who you can see every two weeks (spoiler alert she does my lashes and they are so natural plus up in all things gorgeous do it) for years and years, and never run out of a thing to say. But the thing above all is—outside of the SKILL Elyse has which is unmatched. I feel safe, free to have each and every session vary based upon my mental state, and beyond cared for. RE: Lashes?? Three years into her work on my lids and I get compliments daily on my lashes. Not that they are great extensions but that my eyelashes are SO beautiful. Elyse is unspeakably talented and has an ability to care for her clients at a level that is almost extinct in our society—with expertise, compassion, humor, and empathy. The bar for providers is raised!

I just started coming to Wax in the last few months, following my regular esthetician, Elyse Wilkinson, from her former spot. Elyse is skilled beyond her years and passionate about her work. She’s introduced me to so many new skincare techniques and my skin has never looked and felt better. I’ve nearly completely stopped wearing makeup because my face looks so fresh and healthy! Being one of Elyse’s clients for years, I am really happy to see her thriving in a place like Wax! The business is not only zen, fairly priced, and welcoming, but they also sponsored a female empowerment theatrical production called “The Vagina Monologues” in 2019 embodying their support of female voices and issues in the Nashville community! The perfect spot for someone as empowering, kind and professional as Elyse!! I highly recommend this business, their services, and any of their estheticians!
