Edit: Google summed it up best: “European Wax Center (EWC) is a major, legitimate chain, but it faces frequent complaints regarding high-pressure sales tactics for prepaid packages, rigid no-refund policies, and inconsistent service quality between locations.” First and foremost, let me express my admiration for Carmen. I truly appreciate her patience and willingness to accommodate me after I explained that it had been over five years since I had visited EWC. As a token of her welcome back, she offered me a 15% discount on my service. In return, I agreed to purchase the ingrown serum, as she assured me it would help with ingrown hairs, dry patches, and discoloration. Carmen even took the initiative to speak with the receptionist about my request and assured me that I was all set when we finished. However, two things occurred that have caused me to reconsider returning to EWC in the future. Firstly, the receptionist’s demeanor was unwelcoming and unfriendly. She seemed bothered by patrons and was unapproachable. To make matters worse, when I received my receipt, I noticed that the 15% discount that Carmen had offered me had not been applied. This was a clear breach of her promise, and I felt let down. Secondly, I received a text message yesterday asking me to confirm an upcoming appointment for Wednesday at 11:45 am. I had not scheduled this appointment, and I was concerned and confused. I contacted the salon and informed them that I had received a text confirming an appointment that I had not made. The receptionist’s response was dismissive and unhelpful, simply stating that “sometimes the system does that.” She offered no apologies or any indication that she would pass the message along so they can investigate the matter to prevent it from happening If the front desk is not inviting and welcoming, it is difficult to expect patrons to return. I will not be returning to EWC. This company got $99.63 out of me for the last time.

Great experience for my first Brazilian at European Wax Center. They are super flexible with scheduling (or rescheduling) and offer good bundles to save money long term. Imani was warm and professional. I couldn’t have asked for a better waxer for my first time!

My experience was great, my technician Imari(I hope I spelled correctly) was amazing, very professional and kind. Definitely knew what she was doing and did it with care. I will definitely visit again and have her assist me.
