SUGARED + BRONZED (Union Square)

It took me over of year to finally commit to setting up my first ever sugaring appointment, and S+B did not disappoint! I will be going back every month - I'm forever done with shaving after sugaring. My private room was clean and sanitized. With this being my first time, my sugar-er walked me through what the experience would feel/be like (which curbed my anxieties tremendously). What could have been an uncomfortable or off-putting experience was the complete opposite, thanks to the Sugared+Bronzed team

This was my first spray tan ever! I have a wedding this weekend and I noticed my face, neck and hands are more tan than the rest of my body. I am a bridesmaid and wearing a sleeveless dress. I scheduled an appointment at the Union Square location because of its numerous great reviews. Ashley, the receptionist, warmly welcomed me in and quickly had me fill out the new member waiver. The got a bit busy but I was quickly seen into a room with my artist - Juli. I told Juli this was my first time and she walked me through all the steps - removing the deodorant with an exfoliation wipe, using lotion on areas where I need a bit more moisture (elbows, back of the knees, and heels). Juli let me know I could wear as much or as little as I wanted - it all depended on my comfort level. We talked about my preferred shade level - sun-kissed, glowy, not a deep tan for my friend's wedding on Sunday. She gave me a couple of minutes to get ready, knocked and came into the room and we got started. Juli let me know what she would be doing every step of the way. We chatted and honestly the time flew by. She talked me through the hosing down process, after care for the tan, and said that she would write everything down for me. She also left me a very nice note at the front desk. I told her I am getting through a breakup and she was so kind by affirming me, especially in such an intimate space. Ashley checked me out and kindly told me not to put my hat on to not leave a tan line. I followed Juli's instructions as best as I could and I think my tan looks really good. The night before my friends told me that I looked like I had spent all day on the beach in Miami and I later read that's how Elixer 1 is supposed to look anyway. I showered after 8hrs and used a little soap to wash off the inital spray. I noticed this morning and throughout the day that everything looked uniform and same tone all around. No sweat lines, face is lighter than the rest of my body for the makeup that I'll be getting done (as Juli rightly pointed out). Thanks so much for a great experience and I will definitely be back!

Sugared and Bronzed is the best spray tan in the city! Every time I go, the staff is so wonderful, helpful, and kind. My tan always comes out even, natural, and lasts so long. Could not recommend more!
