Reviews
I had a very unpleasant experience at European Wax Center with Danette. When I arrived for my Brazilian wax appointment, she briefly greeted me, told me which room to go into, and instructed me to lay on the table. After that there was almost no communication during the entire service. She repeatedly went over the same areas without applying pressure or explaining what she was doing, which made the experience uncomfortable. After the service, I noticed there was still a large amount of wax stuck in my butt area attached to hair. It was uncomfortable and painful while standing and moving. I went to the front desk and asked Ajaneek (sp?) if Danette or another specialist could quickly fix it before I left. Ajaneek went to the back and when she returned she said Danette was unavailable to do anything for me and I was told to “just exfoliate it off.” When I asked how I was supposed to exfoliate wax that was still stuck to hair, she said she didn’t know because she wasn’t knowledgeable about it. Another customer waiting for her appointment actually suggested using oil to remove the wax. Leaving hard wax stuck to a client’s body after a waxing service is extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable, and raises liability and safely concerns if someone tries to remove it improperly at home. Because of this experience, I will be contacting corporate regarding the training, professionalism, and client care at this location.
I've been going to various EWC locations in the DC area for over a decade and the Noma location is one of the best! Claudia is an amazing aesthetician and does such a great job with my services (on top of being a lovely and kind person). The staff who work at the desk are also really kind and helpful with scheduling.
I’ve gone to several EWC locations and always expect the great customer service they are known for BUT my experience with theNoMa location was the best yet. The easy scheduling and great reception were only the cherry on top. The entire sundae was Claudia my esthetician. I missed at least two sessions prior so I expected the worst. Claudia worked my Brazilian like a pro! Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your point of view -LOL), it’s not appropriate to add photos. You just have to trust me and book your next wax with them.
