Cheeky Monkey Tattoo

I had the pleasure of getting my first tattoo at the age of 66 from Katie at Cheeky Monkey today. I went with one of kids, who also got an amazing flash design from them. Katie made our communication easy when it came to scheduling and discussing the design. I told them I wanted a hummingbird, and Katie drew an amazing design in advance. Katie walked me gently through the whole process. They were easy to work with, extremely knowledgeable, and professional throughout. Katie listened to my ideas and gave feedback when needed. I’m so happy with the final results that I made another appointment with Katie on the spot! I highly recommend Katie!

I originally went to Cheeky Monkey Tattoo to meet with Stu for some assistance with a cover up of a botched watercolor tattoo. We had a couple of sessions, where he was able to correct some really unfortunate prior work. I'm so happy with the end result, the hummingbird is a memorial piece in honor of my mom, so it meant a lot to get it right. I've since been back to have some other tattoos recolored and added onto, the poppies are so much more colorful and detailed than before. Stu did a great job maintaining the integrity of the original artists work while adding in his own style and vision. We're currently working on a new mandala and watercolor sleeve, after our first session today, I'm excited for the end result. Stu does beautiful work, he's creative and thoughtful in his artistry. He owns the shop, and each time I've been in, he's been professional and kind with his fellow artists; I really appreciate that he's teaching them and encouraging with their work. Sharing your knowledge and skills makes everyone better, as the saying goes, "a rising tide lifts all boats". The shop itself is great, it's always clean and a welcoming environment. Doesn't hurt that it's close to home, so it's easy to get to and it's in a quiet area. Overall, a really great tattoo shop with a wide variety of artists and styles. Glad to have found an amazing and reliable artist who can add to my watercolor collection!

I had a piece done by Xerxes and cannot express how happy I am with it! More than satisfied and so proud to carry work by him. Everyone in the shop is way awesome, the vibes are so good. I’ve had another piece done by Kevin as well that I love just as much. Will definitely be back to find out what other masterpieces these artists can create!
