Happy Tattoo

Chris was amazing. He was very patient with all my design changes. He took great care stenciling my tattoo. Didn't rush the process at all. Not to mention he's just a cool guy, we watched Tires while he was tattooing me. Great vibes all around. Definitely earned a long term returning costumer.

My brothers and I visited New Mexico over the Labor Day Weekend to join our extended family for a celebration of my late mother's life and to bring her remains to her hometown of Polvadera, NM. On our return to ABQ, one of my brothers suggested a tribute to Mom with a tattoo of the moon to represent our family name of Luna. Happy Tattoo popped up early in our search with over 250 5-star ratings on Google. With one phone call, we found the owner, Chris Partain, to be super friendly and enthusiastic to our request for tattoos for a "party of 8." Most of us had never even considered getting a tattoo before this and 7 of us out of towners were on a tight schedule, which he happily accommodated. He made us comfortable by answering all our questions and providing a safe, clean, welcoming studio space and lots of patience. He explained proper tattoo placement, aftercare and was diligent about creating an accurate stencil and offering suggestions based on his experience and expertise. I wish I had listened to his suggestions as my reluctance to adopt his suggestions during the first visit resulted in a second trip to have him complete my lunar design.
